If there’s one thing the RBP team loves, it’s a Christmas jumper. In fact, it’s been suggested that our MD Nina Shipley owns one for every day in December!
So, this year, we decided to put our love for all things festive jumper related to good use and use it as a means to raise some much-needed cash for charity.
As soon as December arrived, the team began to don their Christmas jumpers in the office every day, which inspired us to take it a step further on official Christmas Jumper Day on December 12.
Billed as ‘the UK’s biggest Christmas party’ the day is all about raising money for Save the Children, by wearing your jumper to work and donating £2 to the charity.
Not only did our team throw on their jumpers to come to the office, our hybrid-remote workers also got into the party spirit by wearing them at home.
Our design team also created a Pick a Jumper board where clients, our families and friends were encouraged to choose a number from the grid at a cost of £10 each.
Thanks to Alex Burnett, Spa Director at Laceby Manor, we were able to offer a wonderful Spa treat as a prize and the team even rolled their sleeves up and baked cakes and sweet treats to sell to boost the funds further.
A total of £247 was raised on the day – and now the team is looking forward to doing other similar charity drives in future.
“I love an excuse to wear a Christmas jumper so to be able to encourage the team to get involved and raise money for such an important charity was just wonderful,” explained RBP Managing Director Nina Shipley.
